Root customers in Louisiana counties affected by Hurricane Ida
Effective August 26, 2021 Expires September 27, 2021
Louisiana has recently experienced a catastrophic event throughout the state. These events have resulted in the destruction of property and the displacement of many customers in:
Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberia, Iberville, Jefferson, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, Pointe Coupee, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Martin, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Washington, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana.
Pursuant to the state of emergency declared by Governor John Bel Edwards on August 26, 2021, Root customers may be eligible for an extension on their insurance bill if they reside in an affected county. If you have suffered severe damage, physical injury, evacuations, or the loss of basic services as a result of these events, you may request a grace period, up to September 27, 2021, to pay your Root auto insurance premiums.
