Root Insurance Company Referral Program - Terms and Conditions

Rewards are distributed to you in the form selected on the vendor site Tremendous, which will be made available to you by way of email to the same email address you provided on the referral page. Rewards will be made available to the referrer shortly after the referred individual receives a verified Root Insurance Company quote. The referrer will have ninety (90) days to accept the offer and claim the reward once the email is sent to the provided email address, after which the offer and reward will be forfeited. A reward is not earned until the referrer claims the reward by way of email and selects the form of their reward from Tremendous. 

Root Insurance Company shall, in its sole discretion, establish the appropriate procedures, verification, validation, and distribution of rewards given during the Referral Program. Root Insurance Company has the right to cancel the Referral Program or to change these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any unclaimed Referral Program rewards will be forfeited if and when Root Insurance Company cancels the Referral Program.  

• The Referral Program is limited to US residents and is not available to employees and immediate family members of Root Insurance Company, or its affiliates. The Referrer cannot be the same person as the Referred individual.  The Referral Program is subject to availability and while supplies last. The Referral Program is not available in all states, including California, Mississippi, North Dakota, and anywhere that Root Insurance Company does not offer insurance. 

• Nothing in this Referral Program shall create an employment relationship with Root Insurance Company, including as an employee or an independent agent. The Referrer will not sell, solicit, or negotiate insurance; discuss specific insurance policy terms and conditions; or make recommendations or offer advice concerning insurance or coverages. 

• As a Referrer, you are responsible for any and all tax liability resulting from the Referral Program.

• Any mass distribution of the Referrer’s referral link that could constitute unsolicited commercial email, or “spam” under any applicable law or regulation is prohibited and will lead to immediate termination of the referrer’s referral link as well as an exclusion from Root Insurance Company’s Referral Program.

• Root Insurance Company reserves the right to discontinue use of the Referral Program for any Referrer and/or Referral if the Referrer attempts to use the Root Insurance Company Referral Program in a questionable or fraudulent manner, breaches any of these Terms & Conditions, or is in violation of any Root Insurance Company policy, law, statute, or governmental regulation. Any fraudulent activity will be reported to the appropriate state agency. 

• Any rewards issued through the Referral Program are issued at the sole discretion of Root Insurance Company. Rewards may be withheld due to, including but not limited to, fraudulent activity, violation of these Terms and Conditions, or breaches of the Root Insurance Company policy.
