Where can I promote Root?
Athletes can choose to promote Root on social channels including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. You can also promote Root on a blog or through email—wherever your followers can click on a referral link.
What should I say about Root?
The Root Partnerships team will guide you through talking points that might resonate with your followers. From there, you develop the content you think might lead to the most interest in Root. It’s up to you how simple or sophisticated your content is.
How do I get paid?
You’ll be paid monthly via direct deposit into the bank account you provide once you accumulate $250 in your account.
You’ll get paid for every profile that is completed using the referral link from your posts. A profile is easy to complete. Your followers just need to provide basic contact information. A profile is the first step in getting a quote from Root.
How much can I earn?
Earnings will range, but the more profiles you bring in, the more money you can make.

Not only that, we’ve committed to dropping customer credit scores from our pricing models entirely by 2025. Why? The entire car insurance industry has used credit score as an indicator of risk. That means people with a limited credit history, like young drivers, and those with low credit scores are automatically considered high-risk drivers and are penalized with more expensive rates. We just don’t think that’s fair, so we’re working to change it.
