The Position: 
We are seeking a Marketing Analyst who can help us ensure that our marketing decisions are data-driven. This role will be responsible for querying data, conducting accurate and timely analyses, interpreting and communicating results, and providing actionable conclusions and recommendations.

An ideal candidate for this role will be analytical, detail-oriented, and have a sound knowledge of basic statistical principles and experimental design. Applicants should have a basic familiarity with relational databases and SQL with a willingness to learn more advanced skills as required.

Job Responsibilites

  • Performance Analysis: Track and monitor performance of assigned marketing initiatives and channels. Partner with Engineering to create and maintain automated performance dashboards as needed.
  • Insight Generation & Optimization Recommendation: Conduct ad-hoc analyses to uncover new insights and make recommendations on how to improve business performance; leverage various analytical and statistical approaches to deepen quality of insights.
  • Design Experiments: Partner with initiative owner to design and deploy testing iterations designed to continuously improve business results. Actively contribute to marketing planning and execution. 
  • Funnel Conversion: Partner with creative and product teams to continuously test and optimize communication to current and prospective customers to improve performance at each step of the consumer journey. 

Desired Skills and Mindset

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, analytical, or research-oriented field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  • Highly analytical mindset. Proficiency with SQL, Excel, and statistical analysis methods preferred. Experience with R and/or Tableau (or willingness to learn) a plus.
  • Experience with experimental design and A/B test analysis.
  • Experience visualizing data, interpreting results, and communicating findings to team members with differing levels of technical expertise.
  • Familiarity with ad management and tracking platforms, such as Google Adwords, Google Analytics, and Facebook Ads Manager preferred. 
  • High attention to detail; comfortable independently multitasking and prioritizing projects in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Superior problem solver with ability to independently identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
