We’re hiring a Head of Paid Search and Social in Columbus, OH

The role.
We are looking for a seasoned performance marketer with deep knowledge in paid search and paid social channels such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, Facebook, IG, and Snapchat. In this position, you'll own the P&Ls of respective channels and lead a talented team to continually improve efficiency and unlock new opportunities. You will interact with product, data science, actuary, and brand team leaders and provide recommendations to the leadership team on marketing investment strategy.

What you'll be doing.

  • Own marketing performance across an umbrella of digital channels, spanning multiple products and platforms.
  • Define the overarching growth strategy and measures of success across these channels
  • Lead a team of growth managers, analysts, and coordinators to achieve growth targets and marketing efficiency.
  • Own the partner relationships and influence their product roadmaps, negotiate favorable commercial terms, and secure account support and resources to have the first-mover advantage of new product features as they are built.
  • Partner with the finance team to generate monthly and quarterly forecasts.
  • Ensure channel-specific objectives complement the team-wide monthly marketing plan.
  • Scale team, including building the foundation for consistent, scalable processes as the org grows
  • Lead and project manage cross-functional working groups to drive high impact initiatives that support company-wide strategic goals
  • Build strong relationships with key cross-org stakeholders to help build integrated programs (Brand Marketing, Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Partnerships)

What we're looking for.

  • 5+ years managing paid search and paid social channels for large, performance-oriented digital businesses (app and web) either directly or in the role of a marketing service provider.
  • 5+ years of experience in business ownership roles, with team management responsibility. 
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team of marketers, analysts, and coordinators with a record of success achieving clear, performance-based goals
  • Naturally collaborative, excelling at influencing without direct authority
  • Deep knowledge of online advertising and ad tech space, and a robust understanding of online advertising best practices.
  • Quantitative mindset, ideally with a strong technical background and education (degree in a quantitative area such as computer science, applied mathematics, econometrics, or one of the physical sciences a plus)
  • Experience working closely with strong engineering, data science, and product teams to partner in defining and implementing a technical product roadmap
  • 3-5 years managing performance marketing across multiple products at scale with a multi-million dollar annual budget
  • Experience and familiarity with API-based programmatic buying, preferably working with technology teams directly integrating with major search engines or ad exchanges 
  • Direct-to-consumer marketing experience in insurance is a plus, but not required
