System Administrator
Remote (or Columbus, OH)
What you’ll be doing.
- Maintains accounting/finance applications by identifying system requirements, installing updates and monitoring system performance
- Sustains accounting/finance applications performance by performing system monitoring and analysis; troubleshooting application issues; escalating significant application problems to vendors
- Upgrades accounting/finance applications by conferring with vendors and developing, testing, evaluating, and installing system updates
- Coordinates and communicates all applications updates/changes to user groups. Train and support users
- Secures accounting/finance applications by developing system access, monitoring, control and evaluation; completes back-ups and maintains documentation
- Develops and implements policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure data integrity.
- Works alongside accounting and finance teams to implement process improvements with systematic solutions
- NetSuite Specific Duties:
- Works with accounting and finance groups to build and maintain chart of accounts and inventory of custom reports in NetSuite
- Enhances existing functionality and improves processes within NetSuite
- Customizes NetSuite fields, page layouts, record types, reports, and dashboards
- Develops, tests, and deploys customizations, custom objects, and new functionality based on evolving accounting and finance needs
- Build Test Plans, perform testing and co-ordinate testing with application users for all projects related to NetSuite
- Develops custom code using Suite Scripts to meet user requirements when needed
- Comprehends, articulates, and documents needed customizations and business processes
- Oracle Hyperion Specific Duties:
- Serve as System Administrator for Hyperion Smartview, including system maintenance, report writing, and training for end users
- Maintain custom hierarchies, forms, reports, scripts, and rules
- Coordinate user group provisioning including additions and deletions of associates as appropriate
- Performs ad hoc syncs with NetSuite and DWs
- Employ knowledge of Hyperion Smartview and to facilitate better deployment of application, application security and other interface tools
- Enforce SOX related processes in completing assignments.
What we’re looking for.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Development or related business field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Oracle's Hyperion (ePBCS) administration
- Experience working in a similar capacity with AuditBoard, FloQast, and Eagle Wings considered a plus
- In depth knowledge of/experience with Accounting, A/P, and A/R processes
- Experience of working in a public company environment with an appreciation of SOX compliance requirements
- Experience in the Insurance industry preferred
- Loathe missing deadlines and projects that drag on forever
- A creative problem solver and have a “won’t take no for an answer” attitude
- Be professional, responsive, resourceful and flexible
- Can confidently provide support and user training across departments
- Ability to work both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Has exceptional written and verbal communication skills
