Our telematics data has opened the door to new ways of auto pricing; new data everywhere, new analytical approaches, and the massive computational power to finally put the two together. We’re looking for actuaries that are ready to toss their templates aside, roll up their sleeves, and get their hands dirty building better models and analytics from the ground up.

In this role, you’ll be on the frontlines of pricing techniques, wielding your deep understanding of both the theoretical and technical applications behind pricing to develop and test innovative, next-generation rating plans. Using modern tools and techniques, you’ll be constructing and automating processes to replace labor-intensive tasks, letting you can focus on being an actuary. With direct access to key information and the encouragement to experiment with it means you’ll have the freedom to sculpt creative pricing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute pricing initiatives including state-by-state roll-out and developing/automating reporting processes for analysis
  • Use statistical models to develop rating plans and recommendations for pricing improvement
  • Evaluate and analyze market data to make competitive strategic decisions
  • Reserve analysis including traditional and non-traditional techniques
  • Opportunities for growth with company into management or other more senior roles


  • 1-3 years of P&C insurance experience in an actuarial role
  • Demonstrable experience building and validating predictive models (e.g. model selection, performance metric selection, cross-validation, bootstrapping)
  • Demonstrable experience with modeling in R, Python or other modeling software packages
  • Intermediate experience in SQL/PostgreSQL or other database software packages


  • 2 CAS/SOA exams or Masters in Statistics/Applied Mathematics
  • Personal Auto/Home pricing experience
  • Management experience (team, project, or product)
  • Rigorous statistical thinking within an alternative model framework
