We’re hiring a Program Manager, Learning and Development in Columbus, OH

The Role
You have a passion for developing talent. You have deep expertise in building, delivering, and measuring high-impact learning experiences to a diverse audience. You’ve got an amazing portfolio of work showcasing your expertise, and you are self-motivated and work well with individuals and groups alike.

Reporting into the Head of People Growth, we’re looking for an experienced program manager talent who is a strategic thinker with an advanced learning and development (L&D) background. As the program manager, your vision will build on Root’s L&D strategy that is unique to our business needs and our people.

What you'll be doing

  • Understand and prioritize the most critical business needs and design global, scalable L&D strategies that support leadership development, career development, diversity and inclusion, and onboarding.
  • Work with HR on creating innovative development strategies to support career development, helping to drive successful internal mobility.
  • Create and deliver engaging learning experiences across multiple media and platforms.
  • Develop efficient systems and processes for tracking budget, program participation, and program logistics in partnership with HR Operations and Finance.
  • Work with our procurement and operations teams to identify and implement technology that challenges the traditional learning paradigm – leverage tools and platforms that make learning fun and collaborative.
  • Help identify tools and resources to make development planning and learning opportunities self-service; help people find what they need when they need it.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience building, delivering and measuring high-impact learning experiences to a diverse audience
  • Trusted project and program manager, and can effectively manage multiple projects and stakeholders at once
  • Agile to the ever-evolving needs of a dynamic, growing organization; you embrace change and thrive in ambiguity
  • Effectively distill complex ideas into digestible, relevant content
  • BA/BS degree
  • Clear and engaging communicator, presenter, and facilitator (and always seeking to get better!)
  • Solution-focused and approach new ideas with an open-mind to creatively solve problems
  • Effectively balance speed and quality; you leave everything better than when you found it and push for progress on every project you touch
