We’re hiring a People Analytics Lead in Columbus, OH

The position.
Reporting to the head of Total Rewards, you'll have the opportunity to build and execute the people analytics strategy from the ground up. Data-backed decision making is a pillar of Root’s values, and the People Analytics lead will strive to introduce data to inform, and ultimately drive, every people-related decision we make.

What you'll do.

  • Partner with people leadership to identify, prioritize, and execute people analytics needs. . 
  • Build out and maintain the People Analytics database. This includes constructing the architecture, and integrating multiple systems and data sources to build large and complex data sets to make them usable for analysis.
  • Develop core metrics and dashboards to ensure our business leadership has easy access to the right information when monitoring organizational health and making talent decisions.
  • Initiate and execute data-guided analyses to help solve, inform, and support our People leadership teams to drive an engaged and high-performing employee base.
  • Research and inform People Team leadership of the latest trends in technology, people analytics, and data science to inform team strategy.

What we're looking for.

  • 5+ years relevant experience in a quantitative or analytics role.
  • Experience with analytics tools, data visualization tools and data pipeline tools. 
  • Experience managing and working with large databases and data management, including understanding of various data structures and common methods in data transformation, data validation and audit.
  • Passion for HR innovation and ability to communicate a vision for how we can use people analytics to meaningfully impact business priorities.
  • Highly collaborative – ability to translate business problems into research/analytics studies, as well as ability to communicate the results of analyses and make strategic recommendations to business partners. 
  • High integrity and discretion. People data is some of our most sensitive data and we expect employees with access to act with utmost professionalism.
