We’re hiring a Product Operations Lead in Columbus, OH

The Role. 
The role of the Sr Product Operations is to make it easier to build and develop product at Root while developing a high degree of operational excellence across the product function. This includes working with product directors and managers to ensure team priorities and development are following standardized practices and processes while aligning with company objectives. If product managers create the gears to Root, product operations is the oil between the gears ensuring each gear is smoothly spinning.

Reports to: Director of Product

What you'll do.

  • Facilitate communication and resource management between product teams
  • Work with senior product management to establish, define, and refine key product processes
  • Ensure strong alignment and execution of key business processes across product
  • Support product level planning and team priority development
  • Drive alignment of execution and priorities with key company strategic priorities through all levels of the organization
  • Work with HRBP and finance to assist in developing budgets and resource needs for product department
  • Manage product calendaring for key product processes
  • Work closely with analytics to ensure consistent product KPI reporting
  • Work closely with finance and product leadership to ensure product delivery and financial impact is appropriately forecasted and accounted for
  • Collaborate across product to determine the appropriate tools are chosen and used across the product team
  • Ability to directly manage and drive realignment of large projects when necessary

What we're looking for.

  • Collaborating and consulting with cross functional teams to drive alignment
  • Synthesis of large amounts of data and information into key insights
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Close attention to detail
  • SQL, R, or other tools to identify trends and abnormalities in data
  • Understanding of key financial outcomes and statements
  • Experience working with third parties to drive cross functional strategy and execution
  • Experience in strategy, product management, or product operations a plus
  • BS/BA in quantitative field with 4+ years experience.  Masters in quantitative field a plus
  • Financial services, fintech, or consumer facing technology experience a plus
